always disliked baking, too many rules.
i studied architecture and over 30 years of interior design yamirplus.com, product design, etc., but one night, it all changed with the first season of CHEF'S TABLE series on Netflix in 2015. experiencing such dining while living in manhattan, i was familiar and inspired with such culinary delights. specially the dessert segments.
2 years later, we moved to california. i never thought we would move from manhattan to the coachella valley and i would become a baker + confectionist.
i feel like a kid again back in science class. i have now learned some of the rules and i can break them. life is full of adventures, embrace them!
expectation
every season at cake & cakes, i will show a new collection of sweets different from the year before. inspired by anything and everything that inspires me. ideas will be sparked by a painting, color, a feeling, fashion or a new culinary technique. most creations will have edible blossoms that will beautify and enhance flavors. for 2023, i will be slowly introduce vegan desserts and more responsibly produced ingredients. no fondant here.
